I have a solution for you.

First, though, the Thule Replacement Threaded Pin for Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock and Anti-Rattle Device, part # 853-5917, will not fit with the etrailer Cargo Carrier e98991.

Instead, you will need to use the Threaded Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin Lock for etrailer Cargo Carriers, part # e99047. This one is designed specifically for our cargo carriers. I've linked to a video review of this below.
