Replacement Tonneau Cover For 2017 Ford F150

Published 05/13/2021

Question:

I bought a used 2017 F150 that already had an aluminum roll-up tonneau cover. I cant seem to find the brand but it appears to have been installed by Ford as it has a small ford emblem on it. I have tried to care for it but the vinyl cover has started to crack where the aluminum joints are under it. Can this vinyl cover be replaced? Because it is cracking now, does this mean the cover itself will start to leak into the bed area?

I did some research and it looks like Ford typically used Retrax for their re-branded tonneau covers, but I can't guarantee that is what you have on your 2017 F150. You can look under the cover for a part number; this is usually towards the front of the bed near the back window. If you can provide a part number then I can determine if a replacement vinyl cover is available.

If you can't find a part number then you may want to contact Ford to determine if you can order replacement vinyl cover. You will want to get the vinyl replaced or replace the entire tonneau cover soon because the cracks will likely allow water to get into the bed area which would be unfortunate. In case you decide to look into a new cover (which I recommend), I provided an option for a very affordable roll-up soft cover.
