Question:
Hello, We just added a trailer hitch 1/4 to our 2016 Mazda CX-5. I just wanted to see if we could use the adaptor MT70032 to change it to the 2inch so that it would work with the bike rack KU24FR we are looking at. We have one e-bike and two regular bikes. Please let us know if you think this is a good rack to go with. Also are there any other parts we need to order? Thank you!

When using a 1-1/4" trailer hitch receiver, you are limited to 2 bikes and cannot carry 3 bikes; this is because class 1 receivers are not designed to hold that much weight. For a 2-bike carrier you could go with the Saris SuperClamp EX Bike Rack 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # SA4025F. This has a weight capacity of 60lbs per bike.
Then if you have a 3rd bike that you need to carry you can add a roof-mounted bike rack such as Swagman Upright Bike Rack # S64720. For this you will need a roof rack if you do not already have one. If you have roof rails running front to back then you can go with Inno Standard Square Steel Load Bars - 46" # INB117, Feet # INXP, and Fit Kit # IN53FR. If you have a naked roof with no rails then you can use Inno Standard Square Steel Load Bars - 54" # INB137, Feet # INSUT, and Fit Kit # INK497. I included a few demonstration videos for you to check out.
