I plan to order the #36598 Draw-Tite trailer hitch. Will I have to cut/modify the rear bumper/fascia panel?

The Draw-Tite # 36598 will install onto a 2021 Jeep Compass without modification to the rear bumper or fascia. You will need to remove some caulk from the frame and bend the exhaust hanger brackets a little to get it to fit, however. We do have this hitch in a 2 inch version as well. The Draw-Tite # 76144, depending on what you will be using it for, may be a better option as it allows for more options with bike racks and other accessories. I included and install video as well for you to take a look at.
If this hitch will be used for towing a trailer at some point, I recommend installing a wiring harness as well. The Curt T-Connector wiring harness # C56369, with its 4 Flat connector, will connect to most small trailers that do not utilize electric brakes.
