I have had a Reese hitch for 7 years. My question is, is it possible to purchase the component which attaches to the truck. the holes in mine that accomodate the bars, seem elongated.

If you are referring to the weight distribution head that is attached to your shank and that the round bars attach to, you can purchase a new head. The Reese Heavy Duty Round Bar Replacement Head, item # RP58112, is the replacement head for the Reese Strait-Line Hitch 800 lbs. TW / 10,000 lbs. GTW, item # RP66073.
