Does Hayes Air Actuated Trailer Brake Controller Require Check Valve
Updated 04/05/2021 | Published 04/02/2021 >
Question:
Can I use the existing air supply on my coach, which I use to brake my tow vehicle, to supply air to this air to electric device? Do I need a backflow device still?

You do need a check valve to install the Hayes part # HA100400C. If you have a setup that has a primary and secondary air system you'd install the check valve between them.
On older vehicles with a single air brake system, the controller should be connected from the service line through a check valve to the controller
