We currently do not have a brake controller installation video available for your 2017 Cadillac XT5. Rather than using a hard wire brake controller like the Tekonsha # 90885, I recommend a wireless option.
The Curt Echo # C51180 is a wireless brake controller that will plug into your 7-way on your XT5. It works with your smart phone through the Echo App. This is a proportional controller so once you set it for your combination it will not require any adjustments. And best of all you can use it with different vehicle and trailer combinations easily with its 5 presets available. If you lose your phone the system will still function on the last setting used.
