The Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R16 Slider - Dual Jaw - 16,000 lbs # C16521 will fit in your 2020 Ram 1500 short bed and is designed to fit on industry standard base rails. If you don't have the OEM prep package for towing a 5th wheel trailer then you'll also need a rail kit; for that I recommend using the Reese Quick-Install Custom Outboard Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP56018-53. This is a custom fit rail kit that will minimize drilling and the outboard installed brackets make it even easier to install.
