How To Wire Furrion Vision S Wireless Observation Camera

Updated 02/12/2021 | Published 02/10/2021

Question:

Question asked by Jon S: ‘Recommended RV Observation Cameras That Can Be Used As Security Cameras’ on a 2008 Cyclone 3795. Expert reply was by Samuel C: Samuel replied “wanting the system to work all of the time, you will need to get a little creative with the wiring. You will need to run power wires from each of the lights to a switch like the # PK34360, and then to the onboard battery on your trailer. This will allow you to turn the cameras off when the trailer is not in use. To be able to have the cameras activated when towing, or for security you will simply need to turn the switch on.” Question to Samuel C: I have a 2019 Keystone Montana Model 3561RL. I believe I can get to the 2 side lights/camera power wires, but how do I find the power wire feeding the rear light? I do not have a wiring schematic of the trailer.

If you are wanting to install the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Observation Camera System w/ 3 Marker Light Cameras - 7" Screen # FR98NR you were looking at to where it is powered even when your 2019 Keystone Montana Model 3561RL is not connected to your truck, you will not be able to use the use the factory wiring and will need run new wires from each camera directly to the on-board batteries and use a switch like the # PK34360 to turn the system on and off.

If you are only wanting the cameras to be active when the trailer is hooked up to the tow vehicle, the best way is to connect them to the running light circuit of the trailer. This will make the cameras turn on any time the running lights are turned on allowing it to be used as an observation system.

To determine which wires are for the running light circuit you will need circuit tester like the # PTW2993. The correct wires will only have power when the running lights are turned on.

I included videos to each of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
