Question:
I have a 2018 Audi Q5 which has backup sensors and a camera. I want to add a trailer hitch so I can use a bike rack for travelling with my bike. Is there a hitch and accesories I can buy that is compatible with my vehicle which will allow me to to back up with bikes loaded and without the backup sensors slamming on the brakes

For your 2018 Audi Q5 I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver Item # 76183. This is a class III hitch with a 750lbs max tongue weight and a 5000lb towing capacity. As far as the back up sensor situation we do not offer an adapter that would get a platform rack high enough that the censors would not be affected. If you were to use a hanging style rack you could add a Roadmaster High-Low Adapter Item # RM-048-10 which gives you a 10-1/4 rise and potentially get the bike wheels high enough that they would be above the sensors however; I cannot guarantee the sensors wouldn't be effected by the adapter.
As far as the rear camera, there is nothing that will not affect the rear camera on the vehicle when added to the receiver.
I would suggest contacting a dealership on how to turn the sensors off when the bike rack is on the vehicle. Audi's can be finicky when the sensors are switched off so if you are going to go that route be sure to contact an expert in that field that can advise you accordingly. This would be the case even if you were to tow a trailer.
