Question:
I have a Polaris utility vehicle that weighs around 1500 lbs. I bought the Fulton hand crank 1800 pound winch.and mounted it on front of my trailer. How do do figure the rolling weight of the UTV if you want to winch it up on trailer. The trailer has a 4 ft. ramp going up about 18 inches of incline to trailer bed. Should the Fulton 1800 hand crank pull it up onto trailer without the 2 inch strap and hook breaking. Thanks fir any help you can give me on this.

Using some of the high school trig I swore I'd never need again, I calculated that your ramp has about a 40% or a 22° slope.
Given the slope, the fact that it's a rolling load and the capacity of the winch, an 1800 lb winch like the Fulton # F142306 can pull 4700 lbs with a 30% slope or 3350 lbs with a 50% slope, so with a 40% slope, you're well within the capabilities of the winch you've chosen.
I've provided a link to a demonstration video for a 1800 lb capacity Fulton winch and have also linked a hand winch help article that you might find useful.
