Are the Yakima LiteRider 3 Y02471 and Thule Helium 3 TH9043 Compatible with 16 inch Childs Bike

Looking at 2 options, the Yakima Highlite 3 and Thule 971XT Helium, do they fit for 16inch child bike? if not, any recommendations?

The Yakima LiteRider and Thule Helium Aero should work well for most 16 inch childrens bikes. To determine if your particular bike will fit, measure the length of the top tube. The arms of the LiteRider 3 and the Helium Aero are 13-1/2 inches apart, measured from the outside edge of each cradle that holds the bike's top tube. As long as the inside length of the bike's top tube is greater than the 13-1/2 inches, the bike will fit.

Since the bike would need to be pretty tiny for the top tube to be shorter than 12 or 13 inches, your bike will most likely fit on either rack. Both racks are very similar in features. Both racks feature anti-sway cradles, integrated cable locks and the ability to lock into the hitch receiver to deter theft. The LiteRider has the advantage of being a bit lighter and it will provide a bit more clearance between the rack and the rear vehicle.

To carry womens bikes or bikes with sharply angled top tubes or step-through frames, using a frame adapter like part # 64005 is recommended. The adapter spans the distance between the seat post and the handle bar gooseneck, and provides a level attachment point to the bike rack so the bike has greater ground clearance and is not carried at an angle.

I have linked you to some product demonstration videos featuring both racks.
