Will Hands-Free Power Liftgate of 2021 Toyota Venza Still Function with Curt Hitch Installed

Question:

Buying several hitches from eTrailer.com in the past, I know you put together some great videos and take great photos of the actual hitches installed. I expect youll soon be doing the same with the 2021 Toyota Venza Curt C89UR trailer hitch. When you do the video, or in the QandA, could you address how the hitch affects the hands-free tailgate functions? I know with the factory hitch it still operates but its not as sensitive/as easy to trigger. Thanks in advance!

Once the Curt hitch part # C89UR is installed on your 2021 Toyota Venza the hands free liftgate will still function but the area will be reduced where it would function where you would kick your foot.

What that means is that you'd have to kick to either side of the hitch. Once we have opportunity to install the hitch I am sure we'll verify this as well.
