Why dont you tell or show a diagram on which side of the connector goes to the vehicle and which one goes to the trailer. I cant figure it our from the package direction or your web site.

We do have a wiring harness option for you, but the Hopkins Tail Light Converter Kit # HM48895 you referenced is not a compatible fit on your 2002 Ford Windstar. I would recommend the Hopkins # HM40615 that is custom-made for your vehicle. It provides a 4-pole late trailer connector to your Windstar and features quick and easy installation.
I have provided links to the instructions for the proper installation of this item as well as a link to a video showing its installation on a 2002 Ford Windstar.
I do not recommend the # HM48895 because your vehicle requires a wiring harness with a low side switching converter box. The tail light wiring on the Windstar is opposite of most vehicles.
If you test the wires going into your light assemblies, the wires will be hot all of the time and will go cold once the function is activated (tail light, turn light, etc). Splicing a universal wiring harness like the Hopkins would not power the lights on your trailer.
