The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 is a great fit for your 2011 Nissan Pathfinder using the wiring harness # 3050-P. There is no additional relay or anything required.
Since you know there is power getting to the controller the best way to test if power going out from the controller is to test the blue brake controller output wire. You can do this behind the harness or you can do this at the 5 o'clock pin of your 7-way trailer connector using a circuit tester like # PTW2993.
Because this is a proportional controller so you won't get a brake output from pressing the brake pedal while sitting but only when moving, so you will need to test your output using the manual override slide. The light on the circuit tester should get gradually brighter as more power is added so have the person helping your move the slide slowly to see that power adjustment.

I purchased this brake controller and the item below to hook into the vehicle. 3050-P Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers - Nissan and Infiniti Do I need a relay for it to run properly? The device turns on when I turn on the vehicle, my question is how do I test it to see if the device sends power to brakes to activate?
