I would like to replace my wited coStar CO detector with a battery operated one. What do i do with the wires? Do i simply cap them off with a wire nut? Thanks for your help in advance.

Yes, when using the Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide Detector part # AT32701 which is battery powered to replace a CoStar RV Carbon Monoxide Detector which is hardwired, you'd simply cap off the old wires with some wire nuts or electrical tape. If it's 110/120v then wire nuts work best but if it's 12v then electrical tape will be best.
