Are Trailer Leaf Springs Directional when Installed

Question:

I have 18foot tandem axle car hauler trailer, 3500# Axles. Trailer was fully disassemble months ago, due to compromised axles and springs. I ordered the new 3500# axles, and your 4000# springs, and the full hardware kit. The new Dexter springs have a steel reinforcement band on ONE end only. Assuming it matters, should that Banded / Reinforced end of the spring point toward my direct mount to the frame, OR toward the shackle straps and equalizer ??? I have recently viewed internet photos that FAIL to indicate consistency. thanks

This is a good question but trailer leaf springs like the part # e27SR are not directional. You can have the steel band pointing in either direction and it will work totally fine.
