Question:

How do you know if a 2007 jeep grand cherokee has factory tow package. It has a tow button on the dash for the transmission but I didnt see the wire cap under the vehicle. the video used a dodge van for the example so I dont know where that connection point is located

The most definite way to determine if you have a tow package or not is to contact a Jeep dealership and give them your VIN number. They will be able to tell by looking at your VIN number whether or not you have the tow package.

If you have a factory installed trailer hitch with either a 4-way trailer connector or a 7-way connector then you have the towing package also. The connector should be under the rear bumper on the driver side.

If you find that you do not have the towing package you will want to get a Curt Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56009. This plugs into the tail light assemblies of your vehicle and would provide you with a 4-way.
