After speaking with my contact at CE Smith, I found the CE Smith Pyramid Washer # CE10806 fits against the nut high side up. To demonstrate how this would work, I have included a video that should be helpful.
This washer works best with the CE Smith U-Bolt # CE15252A, a multi-purpose U-bolt intended for use on trailer to help secure brackets, mounts, and cargo. It is constructed of sturdy, zinc-plated steel, and it comes with mounting hardware.
