The Power Inverter 1000 Watts with Three AC Receptacles part # WC3720 comes with 6 gauge wire leads which are designed to be attached directly to a battery. If you wish to extend these leads you can do so but you'd need to use a larger gauge, the Bulldog Winch Wiring Kit part # BDW20043 would be the perfect option for this as the length would get you to the truck bed from the engine bay no problem and it comes with disconnects for when the inverter needs to be removed.
The 4-pole trailer connector wiring is typically only 12-14 gauge which is not anywhere near what is needed for even the smallest of inverters.
