Question:

I have a Smittybuilt towbar, will it work with this base plate. My vehicle is a 2005 Scion XB.

I have a way that you can check to see if your Smittybilt tow bar is compatible with the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # 1170-6 for your 2006 Scion xB, but I don't know exactly off-hand.

The distance between the insides of the brackets that you'd connect your tow bar to measure just over 2" and this base plate kit takes a 3/4" diameter pin like part # RM-910029. If your tow bar matches with those dimensions then it will fit with this base plate kit.

For a complete flat towing setup you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you do not have all of these components just let me know and I can make some additional recommendations for you.
