Correct Size Awning for a 55 Wide x 27 high Dinette Window
Question:
The window size that I want to have an awning over is 55inch wide x 27inch high. My question is, would the LCV000335058 awning and LCV000334750 arms be adequate in size for a window of this size?

Great question! Yes the Solera 18" Projection Window Awning Roller - 60" Wide - Sand Fade w/ Black Weather Guard
Item # LCV000335058 and the Solera 18" Projection Window Awning Support Arms for RVs - Black
Item # LCV000334750 are perfect for that size window. The awning provides 2 1/2" of over hang on each side of the window so you have plenty of coverage. You also want to make there are no obstructions where your arms will mount to the side wall.
I also recommend LaSalle Bristol XTRM Butyl Tape - 60' L x 3/4" W - Qty 1 Item # 344270341410-1
I highly recommend using butyl tape on any area a screw is going into the wall. As the screw goes into the wall it will grab onto that butyl tape and pull some into the hole to help seal not only in the hole but around the hole. This will prevent any water from getting inside the wall and causing any damage.

I plan to order the awning, but am still trying to decide on the support arms. It seems to me that the 30 inch arms might be better on this awning than the 18 inch. Am I incorrect in my thinking? What is your opinion? I just want to be sure I get the correct arms that will work with this awning. Thank you.
