Question:
Hi, Our company has a 2008 Sterling Bullet Dodge Ram and we need a trailer brake controller. Need it to plug right in to the OEM harness. Do you have one available?

Helpful Expert Reply:
With the # 3020-P, wiring harness, any of the Tekonsha brake controllers will plug right into the factory harness.
The Tekonsha # 39523 PowerTrac brake controller would work for you, but I'd urge you to go with a proportional controller like the Tekonsha Primus, part # TK90160. A proportional controller will sense how quickly the tow vehicle is slowing, and will send the appropriate amount of power to the trailer brakes so the trailer and tow vehicle stop at the same rate for safer, more effective and predictable braking. A time delayed controller like the PowerTrac will always send the same amount of power to the trailer brakes according to how you've adjusted it, regardless of whether you've just tapped on the brake pedal or are having a full-blown panic stop.

It looks like the terminal end that connects to the vehicle wiring harness is different. The recommended 3020-P wiring harness is a flat 4 pin connector. Our 2008 Sterling Bullet Dodge Ram has 2 rows of pins. Your recommendation is appreciated. Thank you,
