Question:

I am looking for the wiring kit to set up my 2019 Ram 1500 for flat towing. I see the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit, but do not like how that requires me to cut a hole in the front grill/fascia to install the wire from the coach to the truck. Can the Tow Ready Tail Light Isolating Diode System with 4-Pole Connector be used in its place and just get a 4-pole mount to place under the truck and connect to it with a 6-pole to 4-pole adapter? Or, is there a mounting option for the 6-wire female connector on the truck that will not require me to cut the fascia? Nobody wants to cut the grill. This will be a temporary set up for just this summer.

If you wanted to use the Tow Ready Tail Light Isolating Diode System with 4-Pole Connector part # TR118821 with a 7-way trailer connector on the motorhome you'd need an adapter. If you wanted to also upgrade the umbilical that goes between the motorhome and toad you can use the Wesbar Coiled Adapter part # 787196 which also doubles as the adapter. The Mounting Bracket 4-Pole Flat part # 18144 can then be used to secure the 4-way on the Tow Ready harness.
