Easiest Way to Remove Swagman Titan 2 Bike Carrier From Vehicle

Question:

I am a single female and installed the bike rack myself. My question is what is the simplest way to temporarily remove the rack? Is it better to just take it off the hitch or take the bike holder off the rack? I want to be able to remove it when not using it...the simplest way. Putting it on the hitch took a lot of wrench turning. Thanks!

When you remove the rack from the vehicle, you really should remove the entire rack.

You could remove the upright portion from the shank that slides into the receiver, but I would not recommend it. Having the remaining shank sticking out behind the vehicle could be dangerous to pedestrians or when backing your vehicle.

Using a socket or ratcheting wrench would allow you to very quickly and easily remove the hitch bolt. I've linked you to a demonstration video featuring the # S63400 bike carrier.
