I NEED TO KNOW INSTALLATION DEMINSIONS ON A 2001 DODGE RAM 1500. I HAVE THE 16K SLIDER FIFTH WHEEL.

If your Ram has the long bed, the bed rails would need to be installed with the rear-most rail 32-7/16 inches forward of the rear edge of the truck bed. For a short bed, that measurement would be 28-7/16 inches forward of the rear edge of the bed. This would mount the hitch so that the trailer king pin would be approximately 2 inches forward of the rear axle center. For reference, I will include a link to the installation instructions, which you can find below. The information specific to your model can be found on page 14 of the instructions. We also offer a Universal Installation Kit, part RP30035. The kit includes all necessary mounting hardware, including the rails for mounting the hitch in the truck bed.
