Could Trailer Breakaway System be Used as Parking Brake

Hello, I would like to know if the breakway system can work like a parking brake if I will disconnect the plug with the cable and how long the battery will last keeping the brake ONfoot if the trailer is disconnected. I am looking for a parking break system for my trailer which have electric brakes. Thanks !

Breakaway systems should not be used as a parking brake. Typically they only hold the brakes of the trailer for about 10 minutes at max application. Since you have electric brakes you'd want to look into a wheel chock type setup to keep the trailer from moving when parked like the Buyers Products Wheel Chock Set # 337WC24483.
