What Area Needs to be Trimmed on a 2012 Honda CR-V to Install Trailer Hitch 75742

Question:
Just reading the installation instructions for part #7542. Honda 2012, CR-V Directions are pretty clear..except I cant figure out the trimming diagram for the appearance panel...ugh Is it just the rectangular area with slash marks that gets cut out/trimmed out? 8.5 x 4.25 area?

You are correct. In the instructions, linked for reference, for trailer hitch # 75742, the rectangle with the slashes through it is the area that needs to be trimmed. The measurements there are so you can trim in the right place. I have included a picture with the area that needs to be trimmed outlined in red for clarity.
