Question:

Whats the biggest Thule roof box that I can fit on top of a 2014 Chevy Traverse? I have up to 4 snowboards and 4 sets of skis. Many thanks!

I checked with one of my contacts at Thule and the largest cargo box that he recommends for your 2014 Chevy Traverse is the Thule Force XT # TH6358B which has 18 cubic ft of storage. This would be enough to carry around 5-7 pairs of skis or 3-5 snowboards. With that being said, these measurement estimates are made using adult sized skis/boards, so as long as a few of them are children's sized you can typically fit a few more than what it states.

Depending on how much space you have on the crossbars, you can also add something like the Rhino-Rack Ski and Snowboard Carrier # RR573 to carry the ones that don't fit in the box without stacking. Since the cargo box is 34" wide and the Rhino-Rack carrier is 18-1/2" wide, you would require about 53" of crossbars to accomplish this.

If you can provide me with the measurements as to how long your crossbars are, I can confirm whether or not this will work for you.
