The Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit part # RP30035 is not a good option for a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 because of the frame design and leaf spring setup but I do have options for you that are, the Reese Semi-Custom Base Rail and Installation Kit part # RP30035-023 if you don't have overload springs or part # RP30035-186 if you do have overload springs and the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit part # RP50140-58. The Reese Quick-Install is a no drill kit so that is what I recommend but if you are looking to save some funds the Reese Semi-Custom is still a viable option but does require drilling.
If you don't already have a 5th wheel hitch, the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # RP30051 or part # RP30047 are great cost effective choices.
