I have a solution for you, but the Curt Multi Fit Class III # C13902 is designed to fit pickup trucks of various makes and models, and is not designed to fit on the frame of the 2002 Ford Taurus.
To install a trailer hitch on your 2002 Ford Taurus you would need to use a hitch like the Curt # C12232 , which is a Class II hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver that is designed to fit the frame on your 2002 Taurus. It looks like the 2002 Ford Taurus only has a towing capacity of 1250-lbs (sedan) to 1750-lbs (wagon); going up to a Class III receiver, even if there was one that would fit, would not increase your towing capacity.
If you needed wiring to tow a trailer you would want to use the Curt T-Connector # C55375 for a sedan, or the Tekonsha Upgraded Modu-lite # 119179KIT for a wagon. Either of these kits, depending on which model you have, will provide you with a 4 way trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to allow you to connect a trailer and have working lights.
If you need a ball mount for towing, I recommend going with the etrailer Ball Mount kit # 989900 which provides you with both a 1-7/8" and 2" hitch ball.
