With this hitch being 20+ years old, is there a more extensive rebuild kit that I might want to use? Are there detailed instructions with the jaw kit including torque settings, etc?

The Reese jaw repair kit part # 58056 that you referenced can fit hitches that are 20 years or older as the Reese jaw design has been the same on the hitches this fit like with the # RP30047.

I attached a picture of what the jaws/head of your hitch should look like for this repair kit to fit.

The # 58056 is the only jaw rebuild kit we have for your hitch. But if you feel the hitch needs more parts than that replaced/repaired it's probably best to go with a new replacement head # RP58146 and crossmember part # RP58147.
