Your Bulldog powered A-frame jack part # BD500200 would have come with a manual override lever like the part # BD500203 which you could use to manually raise and lower the jack as needed.
If you check out the 5:36 mark of the review video I attached for this you'll see how the manual crank is used once removing the cap on the top of the jack.
