Is this black mirror paintable? I have a dark red Kia Sorrento and side mirrors have a dark red outer case color.

Yes, the K-Source Replacement Side Mirror part # KS75030K for driver or part # KS75029K for passenger side can absolutely be painted to match the body color on your 2012 Kia Sorento. The surface of the mirror would need to be prepped accordingly but after this you will not have any issues applying the dark red base and then clear of your choice. This plastic is the same material use on many color-matched trim pieces throughout the vehicle.
