Question:
I have a 2001 Toyota Tundra that currently has a factory flat for trailer wire harness. I am acquiring a boat/trailer with surge brakes and a flat 5 wire connection. Is there a plug in conversion for my truck to replace the flat 4 with a flat 5? And if not, how would I make the conversion? Thank you.

We have a solution to convert your 4-way to a 5-way so that your reverse lockout solenoid can activate but we don't have a plug and play style of adapter. Instead your best option is a 4-way to 5-way adapter part # 20036 which plugs into your current 4-way and then gives you an additional wire you'd run to the reverse light circuit of your truck. You can use a quick splice connector part # SWC501746-1 to tap into the circuit easily.
