when its fully close, how does it lock in place?

The Pace Edwards SwitchBlade Hard Tonneau Cover # 311-SWFA05A28 uses latches to hold the cover closed. The Handle Tabs used to open it can only be accessed if the tailgate on your 2015 Ford F-150 is down. So if you lock your tailgate with this cover closed your truck bed is secure. I have attached a clip from the instructions that explains this.
