Question:
The problem I am having with this trailer hitch is that I also installed the C57674 4-pole to 7-pole adapter, which I mounted on the hitch's mounting plate. This, however, does not give me adequate room to fit a hitch pin in the large rear hole, as it hits the C57674 adapter. For the short term I inserted a bolt through the smaller front hole , where there is more room , but this is not an ideal solution so wondering if there is a smaller hitch pin I can use in the front hole or if you have other suggestion on how I can fit a hitch pin in the larger rear hole and have it fit with the C57674 adapter?

The diameter of the hitch pin hole on the etrailer Trailer Hitch # e78KR that fits your 2004 Honda Element is tje standard 5/8" diameter. They have stopped putting the smaller holes in the hitches because they are no longer used. There used to be a special kind of hitch pin called a J-pin that used that second hole, but that isn't the case anymore.
