Will the Thule Hitching Post Pro Work On a 2018 Subaru Outback with 1-1/4 Inch Hitch Pin Depth

If you are referring to the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the face of the receiver as being 1-1/2" then yes, the Thule Hitching Post Pro part # TH934XTR will work with your 2018 Subaru Outback Wagon. The issue occurs when the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the face of the receiver is less than 1-1/2" but the 1-1/2" you have is the cutoff so you will be fine to use the Hitching Post Pro on your Outback.

My bad, there was a typing error and the distance between the receiver end and the middle of pin hole is 1.25 inches.

The best option we have for you would be to replace the trailer hitch. The reason for this is that almost all bike racks require at least 1-1/2" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the face of the receiver. That said, you would also be limited to carrying two bikes with a class I, 1-1/4" hitch so I recommend just replacing the factory hitch with the Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98847 as this will allow you to use the Thule Hitching Post Pro part # TH934XTR and carry four bikes.
