The Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-522 is a fanstastic option to use for flat towing your 2007 Mini Cooper Convertible. You just need the EZ Base Plate Kit # 521876-1 (which fits the Sport suspension but not the Aerodynamic Package) to connect to the tow bar.
To finish out your towing setup I recommend the Combo Towing Kit # RM-9243-1 which gives you wiring, safety cables, and some locks and covers to preserve the life of your towing equipment, as well as the Brake Buddy Classic 3 # HM39494 and Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751440. The Brake Buddy 3 is a great braking system because of how easy it is to use and you get the reliable Brake Buddy name to back up your purchase.
Most flat towing setups require a high-low adapter for the tow bar to remain level while towing. I have linked our selection of adapters for you to check out as well as an article that will help you determine which is the best one for your application.

Please note that according to my research you can only flat tow your Mini Cooper if you have a manual transmission. For an automatic transmission you'll need a tow dolly like the Kar Kaddy X # DM9713093.
