Circuit Tester Needed for 7-Way on 2018 Chevy Colorado

Question:

My vehicle is a 2018 Chevy Colorado with factory brake controller. Nowhere in the # 6562 product listing does it say - not for GM. This emulator is no good to me! The index notch is on the bottom of the 7-pin receptacle, which when the emulator is inserted, the LEDS are facing down and not visible. Does Tekonsha make an emulator with the index tab on the bottom?

All of the circuit testers we carry, like the Tekonsha # 6562, are universal fits for vehicle connectors which is why these products aren't listed in our fitguide. The note on the product page about the Ford OEM brake controllers has more to do with the actual brake controller than the vehicle itself.

If the notch on your 2018 Chevy Colorado is facing down then none of the other 7-Way testers like this will work and you either need to use a single prong tester like part # PTW2979 to test each individual pin or a more sophisticated tester like the Hopkins Tow Doctor # HM50918. Attached are review videos for each that you can reference.
