Will the RM-524453-5 base plate work with a Sterling tow bar without a cross bar? My vehicle is a 2018 Ford Explorer with active shutters and the Duratec 3.5L engine. I was trying to match my Sterling tow bar with a base plate for the explorer. Thank You

The Roadmaster base plate kit part # RM-524453-5 is a direct connect style of base plate so yes, it will attach to a Roadmaster Sterling # RM-576 without needing to use the crossbar.
