The trailer running light issue you are having with your 2006 Nissan Frontier is pretty common as Nissan for some reason left out the relay needed under the dash panel. Check out the picture I attached to see where you'll find where the relay needs to install. For this relay, you can use one of the blue relays from the Curt Relay Kit # C57000.

I have left and right blinker and break lights. No running lights at 4 way connector. Jameson C answered my earlier question showing a pic with 2 relays needed under dash. My truck has one relay and no place to install second relay. Please help.

The third area where the relay could be (since we know it's not in passenger side kick panel and under dash) is under the hood in a relay panel on the passenger side of the truck. I attached a picture that shows this location as well.
