The difference in price between Carr LD Custom Side Steps # CARR114032 and # CARR114034 is due to the higher-priced part # CARR114034 having a powder-coat finish added whereas the polished aluminum model # CARR114032 does not have this additional manufacturing process. The price difference is then simply the incremental cost for the additional step needed to apply this baked-on "titanium silver" finish which tends to make the steps a bit easier to keep clean. The powder coat finish gives a slightly darker color than the polished aluminum version.
