If you used shorter arms then you wouldn't be able to extend your awning out completely. We actually have the Solera Universal Awning Support Arms for RVs # LC434727 which are 69" long and if you are only needing only arm you can use part # LC281154 instead. I don't recommend using 2 different length arms for your awning.
