Should Trailer Axle be Installed With Bow Up or Bow Down

Question:
Axle has a slight "V" bow in the center. Which way is correct to install? "V" or up side down "V" . Thanks.

You want an upside down "V". Trailer axles are bowed in the middle by design. The idea is that when the trailer is loaded the weight of the load on the axle pushes down on the bow causing it to potentially straighten if there's enough weight. If the axle was installed the other way, or if it was straight, the trailer's weight would cause the axle to bow downward which wouldn't be ideal.
