Question:
Hi I am in need of a transmission cooler for 98 dodge Dakota 3.9l v6. It has special fittings where the lines hook to the radiator. Does your kit do away with my existing cooler thats in the radiator?. and if so how can I adapt my existing trans lines to work on your cooler without cutting anything??

Expert Reply:
A supplemental transmission cooler like the Derale # D13614 is designed to work in addition to the OEM cooler on your 1998 Dodge Dakota. So no, it won't be rid of your current transmission cooler. The adapter kit # D13028 is exactly what you need to perform this installation. Just make sure that you have enough room in your engine compartment for this cooler (see attached photo).
