Parts Needed To Tow a Trailer with a 2007 Suzuki XL7

I do have all of the parts that you need to tow with your 2007 Suzuki XL7 but I cannot advise on the compatibility of parts from our competitors. For a trailer wiring harness, the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56012 is correct if you have the factory tow package or the Curt Circuit Protected Converter part # C56175 if you do not have the factory tow package.

I have attached an install video for you that shows the install on a model with the factory tow package. If you have this same port shown at the 3:30 mark in the attached photo then the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56012 is what you will want to use. I am not sure what you mean by "nighttime tuning lights" but both of the above harnesses will provide you with running lights, left turn/stop, and right turn/stop signals.

For a trailer hitch, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13518 which is a custom fit so no drilling is required. In order to recommend the correct ball mount you will have to do some measuring like what you see in the attached help article. I do not recommend simply obtaining one included in a kit without measuring as you may end up needed to buy another one if it does not have the correct rise/drop.
