Recommended Base Plates for 2019 GMC Canyon All Terrain to Use with Blue Ox Tow Bar

Question:
Need to tow my 2019 Canyon with the All Terrain package. From the available information it appears appears that a number of Base Plates may work but none specifically refer to the All Terrain Model. Just want to be sure. Im leaning towards the Blue Ox base plate since I currently have a Blue Ox tow bar and the Motor home receiver hitch C/L is 21.5 inches from the ground and while I didnt find an estimated measurement for the tow bar attachment height for the Blue Ox base plate it appears to be higher than the other options which appear to be at about 15 in. Thanks for your assistance.

As long as your 2019 GMC Canyon All Terrain has the 4WD the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1721 that you referenced will work perfectly. I agree that going with a Blue Ox base plate kit is your best option with your existing Blue Ox Tow Bar to avoid any incompatibility issues or having to add a separate adapter. From the ground to the tabs on your Canyon there will be a distance of 23 inches.
I have attached the written installation instructions that you can check out as well.
Based on the 21-1/2 inch RV receiver height you mentioned you likely won't even need a high-low adapter to keep the tow bar within the Safety Zone (3 inches above or below level). If you measure again though and find that one is needed I have attached a link that will take you to our available selection along with a great article on the subject that you can check out.
