While this may seem odd the reason for this, according to the manufacturer, is how the bars install; the weight capacity is going to be limited to the rocker panel they install on.

There is another option with a set weight capacity of 500 lbs, the Carr Custom-Fit Side Steps # CARR124031 which are a fit for your 2019 Nissan Frontier.
