Question:

Will the RP50142 Fit this? I tried another brand but they say the Rebel uses a new different bracket

I checked with Reese and the correct custom frame brackets for 5th wheel base rails on your 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel is the part # RP56018. These brackets do require 48" wide base rails and for the complete kit including both the brackets and rails you can use part # RP56018-53.

The # RP50142 bracket kit that you referenced is only a fit on the Ram up through the 2018 model year so they won't work on your 2019 model.

Since your Rebel has a 5-1/2 foot bed the only way to tow a 5th wheel trailer is to use a fixed hitch and have a pivoting pin box like the Reese Sidewinder on the trailer. The Sidewinder pushes the pivot point 22 inches behind the king pin which will allow you to make sharper turns without any cab interference.

For the hitch I highly recommend the Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Single Jaw - 20,000 lbs # RP30928 because of its jaw system that provides an excellent connection with the trailer along with a smooth, quiet ride and the fully articulating head that drastically eases hookup. It features a 16,000 pound towing weight capacity. For use with a Reese Sidewinder pin box you will need to add the Wedge # RP44FR to keep the king pin from rotating at the hitch.

Then to install a Reese Sidewinder on the trailer you will need to determine what model pin box is currently mounted. This is usually indicated with a sticker right on the pin box itself. For example the Reese Sidewinder # RP61422 is designed to replace the Lippert 0719, 1621 and 1621HD pin boxes.

If you can tell me what model pin box is on your trailer I will be happy to make a specific recommendation. I have also attached a link that will take you to our complete selection of Sidewinders along with an article on the subject that you can check out.
